About Us

Welcome to Rye Harbour Sailability, a registered charity launched in August 2017.
We aim to give people of all ages, with a wide range of disabilities, the chance to experience the fun and freedom of sailing with an experienced helmsman and crew. Under the direction of an RYA Senior Instructor our members enjoy sailing in adapted dinghies at Rye Harbour. When sailing our rescue boat provides safety cover for the dinghies.
We sail once or twice a month depending on the tide and the weather. Food and refreshments are available to buy. The cakes and bacon sandwiches are a must for a morning sail! For anyone who wants to stay after the sail, we either hold a BBQ or share a hot meal together.
We sail from Rye Harbour Sailing Club where the charity hires boat storage facilities and rooms for their sailing events. The Sailing Club has new changing rooms with disability access and a disability toilet with shower. For more information about the charity please see our Annual Report. For our terms and conditions please see our booking form.
